Hey there, anglers! Ready to dive into some serious inshore fishing action right here on the South Shore of Massachusetts? Blueline Fishing Charters has got you covered with a half-day trip that'll have you hooked from start to finish. We're talking striped bass and bluefish in some of the most productive waters around - Hingham Bay, Hull, Weymouth, Quincy, and even Boston Harbor. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just getting your feet wet, Captain Horte's got the know-how to put you on the fish.
Picture this: You're stepping aboard for a solid 5 hours of private fishing time. The boat's prepped, the gear's ready, and Captain Horte's got that look in his eye that says, "We're gonna find 'em." We've got flexible start times to fit your schedule, and trust me, that early morning bite can be pure gold. With room for up to 6 passengers (though 4's the sweet spot for elbow room), you can bring the whole crew or keep it intimate. And don't sweat the small stuff - we've got all the fishing gear, bait, and licenses covered. Just bring your game face and maybe a snack or two.
Out here on the South Shore, we play the tides and structure like a fiddle. We might start off chunking for blues, letting that oily scent trail bring 'em in hot. When the stripers are on the prowl, we'll switch it up - maybe some live-lining if the bait's running, or working soft plastics along the edges of channels. Captain Horte's always got his eye on the fish finder, ready to adjust tactics on the fly. And let me tell you, when a big striper hits a topwater plug at dawn, it's the kind of rush that'll have you grinning for days.
"We fished 3 days with Captain Dave and his deck hand Steve. These guys are pros and very informative all day looong. We caught striped bass, haddock, cod, our limit of 15 lobster, and many other fish with these Boston guys!! My daughter, cousins, and friends have made lasting memories with bluelines fishing charters." - Mark
"Awesome day on the water. Capt Dave and first mate Matt went above and beyond to get us on the fish. This is my second year in a row booking with them and we are already looking forward to the next trip." - Paul
"Captain Dave and his first mate Steve were absolutely phenomenal! I booked this trip for family coming into town every though it's not typical fishing season (for us general folk), but we were not disappointed. It was a chillier day and the forecast called for high winds. Capt Dave was so communicative and offered recommendations to make the trip a better experience beforehand. Capt Dave and Steve were so kind and knowledgeable, it was clear they are not only good at what they do, but they love and respect the sport. They made sure we were comfortable and successful and I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting the best charter boat experience!" - Jackie
Striped Bass: The crown jewel of Northeast inshore fishing, stripers are the heavy-hitters that'll test your gear and your skills. These silver-sided bruisers can top 50 pounds, and they're known for explosive surface strikes and dogged fights. Spring through fall is prime time, with the biggest fish often showing up in June and July. There's nothing quite like the feeling of a big striper peeling line off your reel - it's the stuff fishing dreams are made of.
Bluefish: Don't let anyone tell you blues are just bycatch. These toothy terrors are pound-for-pound some of the hardest fighting fish in the sea. They travel in schools, often busting bait on the surface in frenzied feeding sprees that'll have your heart racing. Blues typically show up in late spring and stick around through summer. They're not picky eaters, which means fast action and bent rods for anglers of all skill levels. Plus, they're delicious on the grill - just make sure to bleed 'em right away for the best taste.
Look, I could go on all day about the fishing, but here's the bottom line: This trip is the real deal. You've got a seasoned captain, prime fishing grounds, and some of the most sought-after gamefish on the East Coast. Whether you're looking to fill the cooler or just want to feel that rod bend, Blueline Fishing Charters has got you dialed in. And hey, if 5 hours isn't enough (trust me, it flies by), you can always tack on some extra time at $120 an hour. So what are you waiting for? The fish are out there, and they're not gonna catch themselves. Give Captain Horte a shout, pick your date, and get ready for a day on the water you won't forget. Tight lines!

My son and I had a great day with Captain Dave and First Mate Matt. They worked hard to find us some fish and we caught 3 keepers. We also had a beautiful day on the water, which was a bonus. Highly recommend.

Worst 4 hr what a waste of time! I literally feel like I just got robbed for my money!! First off the captain is inexperienced didn’t know what he was doing what so ever!! We didn’t catch not one fish!! 4hr of just sitting in back boat in hot sun doing nothing waiting for them to find fish smh not worth the $$ what so ever!!

Professional service with Captain and crew!! Although it did rain early for a short time; we lost track of how many fish we caught in the first hour!! My daughter, nephew and I score this day of fishing as a perfect 10.

Bluefish are the pit bulls of the sea - aggressive, toothy, and always ready for a fight. These blue-green torpedoes typically run 3-10 pounds, but can get up to 20. You'll find them terrorizing bait schools in open water or near shore from June through October. Bluefish are famous for their feeding frenzies, churning the water like a washing machine. That's why anglers love 'em - the strikes are explosive and the fights are chaotic. They're also tasty eating when prepared right. Look for birds diving to find the blitz. Cast metal lures or topwater plugs into the fray and hang on tight. My local secret? Try wire leaders - bluefish will slice through mono with those razor teeth. Just be careful handling them at the boat. The action is fast and furious when the blues are running.

Stripers are the prize catch of our local waters. These powerful fish typically run 20-40 pounds, with some monsters topping 70. Look for them near structure like rocks, sandbars, and dropoffs. They love moving water, so tidal rips and river mouths are prime spots. Spring and fall are peak seasons as they migrate, but we catch them all summer too. Anglers love stripers for their hard-fighting spirit - they'll really test your gear. Plus, they make excellent eating with sweet, flaky meat. For the best luck, try live bait like herring or mackerel. Fish early morning or dusk when they're actively feeding near the surface. My pro tip: use a thin, sensitive braided line to detect those subtle bites and set the hook quickly. Once you hook into a big striper, you'll be hooked for life.
