Boston Harbor Inshore Report on 22nd May, 2026

From On The Water Magazine “ The spring striper run hits peaks and valleys, with the peaks happening around the moons and the (usually shallow) valleys happening in-between. With May’s new moon waxing, bass migrated out of some areas, leaving a void that will the full moon will fill. Many more areas continued to hold good numbers of fish, especially places with plenty of large forage. There are a surprising number of large migratory bass in Northern New England for this time of year, especially given the cold winter, but it’s meant that the fishermen from Maine to Maryland have 40-inch bass swimming in their waters right now”

Wicked Nice Striped Bass Action with Captain Horte at Hingham Bay!

One for the books today! Charles and I headed out early morning this summer with partly cloudy skies overhead. Water conditions looked solid for our inshore run around Hingham Bay. Perfect setup for our Private 5-Hour Trip with Captain Horte – Fish Hingham, Hull, and Local Hotspots through Blueline Fishing Charters. With our gear rigged and ready, we worked the area using drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques. Charles landed some wicked nice Striped Bass during our session. The casting with lures also produced results when we switched up our approach. Hingham Bay continues to be a productive zone for inshore fishing - the structure and current breaks make it ideal for these techniques. Lines tight all morning and the boat traffic was nuts, but we found our spots. We wrapped up the trip with great catches and smiles all around! If you're looking to get out on the water around Hingham Bay, no suh - this is the spot to target. Our Inshore Fishing Charter South Shore MA covers all the prime locations where Striped Bass are holding. We run these Private 5-Hour trips regularly, working Hull and the local hotspots that produce fish. The combination of drift fishing, bottom fishing, and casting techniques gives us multiple ways to put you on fish. Whether you're after Striped Bass or just want to experience some of the Cape's best inshore action, Blueline Fishing Charters has you covered. These Hingham Bay waters have been consistent all season, and our local knowledge of the structure and current patterns makes the difference. Give us a call to book your inshore fishing adventure - we'll put you on the fish and show you why this area is so productive for targeting these species.

Striped Bass Stampede: Thrilling Inshore Fishing Escapade off Boston's Coast

It was a fantastic day out on the water with Alan and their crew for a Private 5 To 9 Hour Inshore Charter Trip In South Shore with Blueline Fishing Charters in Boston, Suffolk County. June is a prime time for inshore fishing in this area, as the warming waters draw the Striped Bass and other game fish closer to shore, making for some excellent angling opportunities. We started the day with a mix of techniques, working the flats and deeper channels with a combination of deep-sea, jigging, trolling, and light tackle. The fish were fired up, and it didn't take long before we started hooking into some nice Striped Bass. Alan and the crew were all over it, setting the hooks and working the fish with skill and precision. The Striped Bass put up a great fight, carving through the water and making those reels sing, but we managed to get several nice ones in the boat. Throughout the trip, the fishing stayed consistent, and we had a ton of fun. The weather was perfect—partly cloudy, with a light breeze that kept things comfortable. And the water conditions were fantastic, allowing us to spot fish and time our casts perfectly. It was just an all-around great day on the water, with a nice mix of action, camaraderie, and the chance to experience some top-tier inshore fishing.
