Fishing For The Mission Charter #3
Massachusetts Bay
This morning we had the pleasure of hosting 2 Army Vets Josh and Brett as well as Josh’s Son Jackson on our 3’rd charter sponsored by Fishing For The Mission. Since Striped Bass fishing inshore has been very hit or miss lately we decided to head offshore and fish the bottom with clams and squid. Sea conditions were a bit challenging and there was alot of rocking and rolling. We first went north of the BG buoy and fished several spots catching many Cod, 1 hake, 1 Bonito, 2 sculpin and 3 Cusk. no Cod were keeper sized. all fish were released. We headed further east to the shipping lanes and fished sone more. several more Cod were landed however none were keeper sized and finally 1 keeper Haddock was landed as well as 1 Pollock. 7 species landed in total.
